BIP ERASMUS/CEEPUS WORKSHOP
CURRENT TRENDS IN CENTRAL EUROPEAN RESEARCH OF MODERN HISTORY, POLITICS AND CULTURE
Venue: Olomouc, Department of History, Palacký University Olomouc
Date: 26-30 May 2025 (online part 19 May)
We are looking for 2-3 MA or PhD students to represent the UP Faculty of Arts during the week-long program.
Participants: MA and PhD students from CEEPUS CZ-29 partner universities (Olomouc, Krakow, Budapest, Vienna, Cluj, Banská Bystrica, Sofia, Shkodra)
Program of the week: lectures by leading experts in the field of contemporary history, political science and sociology, workshop on advanced methods in humanities and social sciences, development of presentation skills in English, AI for humanities, etc.
Included: a student conference where students will present their upcoming MA or PhD theses.
Thesis topics:
1) Memory and memory politics in contemporary Central Europe and the Balkans
2) Memory and Anthropological Perspectives
3) Cultural heritage and everyday memory in Central Europe and the Balkans
4) European Union and its future
5) Central and Southeastern Europe and their Modern and Contemporary History
6) Central and Southeastern Europe in the international relations of the 20th and 21st centuries
7) Cultural Transfer and Intercultural Relations
For participation in the whole programme: 3 ECTS (credits)
