Lenka Starková is a GIS specialist and archaeologist with a long-term focus on landscape
archaeology, particularly the study of landscape dynamics through time and their
comparison with the present. Since 2013, she has been working on conflict landscape issues
and has continuously conducted research in Iraqi Kurdistan, focusing on the Islamic and
modern periods. She currently works as an Assistant Professor and director of the Centre
for Digital Archaeology at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, as well as a research
fellow at Palacký University in Olomouc.
